Week 3: Flickr and Mashups
A couple years ago, I first heard of Flickr in Time Magazine's Person of the Year edition. Time named "You" as person of the year. Bascially, it was web 2.0 and its impact on the social fabric of society and communication among communities around the world. I use snapfish to share and post family photos. I've used Picassa for invitations. My daughter loves watching the photo albums in slide show format on my laptop. It's a great way for long distance relatives to view photos. Originally, my husband built a web site of family photos and it became troublesome in which family members could never remember the proper URL and their computers were not fast enough to handle the graphics. Nowadays, web 2.0 has changed everything...
