AVATAR trouble

Hi there,

I simply don't understand the Avatar thing. For some reason, I keep loosing my avatar. I have re-installed my avatar several times. It appears okay at first. Then when I go on to my blog, my avatar has disappeared again. I have read and re-read the instructions. I am at a lost at this point. I do not see anything under the Layout tab - Page Element labeled Html/Java Script. Any ideas? Should I start the blog over again?

Week 3: Flickr and Mashups

A couple years ago, I first heard of Flickr in Time Magazine's Person of the Year edition. Time named "You" as person of the year. Bascially, it was web 2.0 and its impact on the social fabric of society and communication among communities around the world. I use snapfish to share and post family photos. I've used Picassa for invitations. My daughter loves watching the photo albums in slide show format on my laptop. It's a great way for long distance relatives to view photos. Originally, my husband built a web site of family photos and it became troublesome in which family members could never remember the proper URL and their computers were not fast enough to handle the graphics. Nowadays, web 2.0 has changed everything...

Okay folks. I am back from the land of the lost. My husband was laid off last week. Talk about rocking someone's boat. Read an article in US News & World Report that says that the Blog is the new business card. Apparently, the business card is DOA. The world of the job hunt has changed drastically since the last time I looked at the classifieds. Apparently, the buzz is that one must know how to blog and how to tweet. I have joined Twitter and am still not quite sure how great the implications are. Is email becoming old fashioned? Is Twitter and Facebook the new forms of communication? It seems to me that FB can be used as a soapbox for your rants and raves. It can also be a chance to join a conversation that other folks are having. Kind of like being at a party and you over hear a conversation and you give in your 2 cents on the topic.
